In Japan, girls are the one who give the present to boys at the time. Even though you are not a Japanese, as long as you live in Japan, you are sure to be affected by this culture. Well, to say the truth, I am no exception. But the difference is that I have to give something back in return for that Chocolate! Anyone can guess?
At that time one beautiful girl gave me the Chocolate. She has a very attractive smile and exceptionally beautiful face. She smiled and gave me the Chocolate. What is special is that she owns a chocolate shop. So what did I give in return? Yeah, I gave her 500 yen for that Chocolate...

The Land and People of Cambodia by Darvid Chandler
The book provides a brief history of Cambodia from pre-Angkorian Period until present day.
You do not have to read thick books of Cambodia history if you read this book. If you have just finished high school, with the historical context taught there, here is one step toward the truth.
I also would like to quote some quotes from the book.
"It( the Mekong River) could be harnessed, in the form of dams, to irrigate much of the central plain, to control periodic flooding, and to generate electric power not only in Cambodia but in the neighboring countries as well. Unfortunately, wars and disagreements among the countries through which the Mekong flows have set back development of this resource, although a promising start was made, many years ago, under the auspices of the United Nations."
" In materials terms, Cambodia, even with its agricultural resources and its potential for development, will probably always be very poor in comparison to countries like Japan, Canada, and the United States, or even to nearby countries like Thailand and Malaysia. It has two riches, however, that make it interesting to study. These are its people and its history."
Enjoy!

Free to Choose
Are you free to choose?
It is a book written by Milton and Rose D. Friedman and published during the 80s. Highly recommended. It is one of my favorite books in Economics.
The book explains how the government role in the economy should be, mainly. It also gives the cause and cure of inflation.
